Chilton Hospital recently opened its new Surgical Services Registration Area/Waiting Room, completely redesigned for optimal comfort and convenience for patients and guests.
The Surgical Services Registration Area/Waiting Room offers a dedicated registration area, private consultation room, a refreshment area, a computer station with wireless Internet access and a television monitor that can help family members track a patient’s whereabouts and status during surgery. The new room is conveniently located on the first floor, next to the Good Food Café.
The $195,000 renovation was completed with help from Montclair Radiology, which pledged $250,000 toward the room and other Surgical Services renovations. Chilton Hospital is also building a Same Day Surgery pre-op/post-op area nearby to further enhance the patient experience. When completed, this streamlined unit will have everything from registration to recovery in one convenient location. The overall Surgical Services renovation is projected to cost $2.4 million.
“We’re very honored to have such a generous group of physicians to help us with funding for this project,” said Chilton Hospital Foundation Executive Vice President Dawn Jones. “This donation symbolizes Montclair Radiology’s dedication to Chilton’s mission of personalized care for our community.”
