Artwork of John Rosica on Display at Chilton Hospital in May 2012|
During the month of May 2012, John Rosica’s “Art of Doodles” drawings will be exhibited in the main hall at Chilton Hospital. The artist will make a special appearance on Wednesday, May 2, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Rosica will generously donate 30 percent of all sales from the event to the Chilton Hospital Foundation.
Rosica, 76, has been creating Doodle Art for more than four decades. His doodles have been created during business meetings and while watching TV. On advice of artists, his doodles have been enlarged many times and presented framed and numbered and each drawing limited to 20 signed copies.
The Art of Doodles marks the third career for Rosica. Beginning in the late 1950s, he began a 20-year career as an executive in the record industry during its heyday. Over the years, Rosica was an executive at RCA, Paramount and A&M Records in New York and Los Angeles. He considers this time a well-paid training ground for his second career as founder of Rosica Public Relations in 1980.
Rosica recommended that its first client, Wally Famous Amos, adopt the little-known problem of adult functional illiteracy as his corporate cause. His public relations strategies in positioning the issue became the well-known cause it is today. Not incidentally, Rosica PR is credited for making Wally Amos "famous," and he was inducted into the Public Relations Hall of Fame in 2008.
According to www.copperwiki.org, doodling appears to allow a person's subconscious to work and the brain to concentrate. Doodling is one of the ways of delving into the subconscious to bring out creative expressions and solutions in our everyday life. Often they turn out so beautiful that doodling has become designated as an art form.
