Chilton Hospital Offers Program About the Link Between Golf and Politics on October 24|
Every president of the United States, except three, played golf since William Taft was in office in 1909.
What is the connection between golf and American politics? Find out in “The Power Game – Golf and American Politics,” an educational presentation on Wednesday, October 24, at 10 a.m., at Chilton Hospital’s Collins Pavilion (located adjacent to the hospital), 97 West Parkway, Pompton Plains, NJ. Attendees will be enlightened on the deep connection between golf and American politics, as well as the history of the United States Golf Association (USGA).
Despite fluctuating political climates, various economic woes and congressional battles, many presidents continued with their hobby. This interesting fact will be explained by two USGA Museum representatives: Curator Michael Trostel and Assistant Manager of Marketing and Research Kim Gianetti.
“The Power Game – Golf and American Politics” is a program of Chilton Hospital’s Community Outreach Department, New Vitality Division. Pre-registration is $5. Please call (973) 831-5367. Click here for more information about New Vitality programs.
