Spa 23 of Pompton Plains, NJ, held a “Hope Event” throughout October. The fundraiser, which ran during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, invited its members to donate however much money they would like to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one.
The Hope Event raised a total of $800, which was given to Chilton Hospital on November 28. Spa 23’s donation was earmarked for the hospital’s annual Paint the Towns Pink event to benefit The Breast Center.
“We’re very proud and grateful to have many compassionate businesses and individuals in our area,” said Chilton Community Outreach Director/Interim Chilton Hospital Foundation Director Joan Beloff. “Spa 23 and Chilton have much in common in that our goals are to optimize the health of our community. This donation will be used to improve the health of the patients we serve at The Breast Center. I’d like to thank Spa 23’s Group Fitness Director Ricky Russell and Program Director Laura Severance for their fundraising creativity and generosity.”
