Chilton Hospital invites the community to its ninth annual Bon Vivant wine tasting fundraiser on Friday, April 26, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Preakness Hills Country Club, 1050 Ratzer Road, Wayne, NJ.
The “Wines of the World” event will feature over 200 wines from around the globe, including Europe, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. The major sponsor of the event is by Montclair Radiology Associates.
In addition, premium liquors, brandies, cognacs, single malt scotches, whiskeys and craft beers will also be available for sampling. An extensive array of hors d’oeuvres and international foods will be served. The event will also feature music and a silent auction including trips to Napa Valley, CA, and Park City, UT.
“Attendees can be assured that they are in for a fun-filled evening with proceeds going to a great cause,” said Interim Director of Chilton Hospital Foundation and Director of Community Outreach Joan Beloff. “We recently kicked off our 12-month, $5 million Capital Campaign, with a major component being expansion and modernization of the Chilton Cancer Center. Unfortunately, many of our community members have or had loved ones affected by the disease. The wine tasting event will help the hospital provide the latest technology—including the new linear accelerator radiation machine—in a warm, caring environment, close to home.”
The event features a VIP Experience from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., which includes a lecture with Michael Meagher, wine educator from Treasury Wine Estates, who will share his passion and knowledge for wine. He holds Advanced Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, has placed in national and international sommelier competitions and has had work published in the Journal of Culinary Science and Technology. The VIP Experience is limited to 50 participants and allows sampling of fine wines not offered to the general admission.
