“Our Campaign Committee chose this theme as an inspiring testament to those who are passionate about our purpose and the belief that our community members deserve access to world-class care, right in their own neighborhood,” said Chilton President and CEO Deborah K. Zastocki, DNP, RN.

Chilton’s Capital Campaign was introduced to bolster the hospital’s Strategic Plan, which includes the following goals:

  • Converting more than two-thirds of patient rooms into private spaces
  • Acquiring advanced technologies that maximize patient care
  • Building ambulatory centers that optimize patient convenience
  • Enhancement of treatment areas to promote personalized care
  • Creating an electronic data management system that streamlines and improves patient care
  • Expanding and modernizing the Chilton Cancer Center, utilizing the latest trends in cancer center design

On January 17, Chilton held a kickoff ceremony for the Capital Campaign in the Wyndham Worldwide Hotel in Parsippany.
Those who made presentations about the Campaign included Chilton President and CEO Deborah K. Zastocki, DNP, RN; Chairman of the Capital Campaign Executive Committee David Washburn, whose wife, Gail, is a highly respected nurse at Chilton; and Stephen Holmes, who heads the Holmes Family Foundation with wife, Bonnie. Mr. Holmes is also the Chairman and CEO of Wyndham Worldwide. The Holmes Family Foundation has made the largest donation in the Capital Campaign to date: $1 million to establish the new Holmes Gorshein Center for Radiation Therapy, named in part for Dr. Dov Gorshein, who chairs the Chilton Hospital Radiation Oncology Department.

At the kickoff event, the Chilton Hospital Foundation announced naming gift opportunities, ranging from $25,000 for a patient room to $500,000 for the Viewing Garden at the Cancer Center at Chilton. Early naming opportunities include:
