Dr. Pat Audia Receives Chilton Hospital’s ‘Physicians We Admire’ Award

Dr. Pat Audia of Chilton HospitalPat Audia, M.D., is named the recipient of Chilton Hospital’s “Physicians We Admire” award. He is a nephrologist, a subspecialty of internal medicine, dealing with the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the kidney and management of renal diseases. Dr. Audia has a private practice at North Jersey Nephrology Associates in Wayne, NJ.

The quarterly Physicians We Admire award was created to provide Chilton Hospital staff the opportunity to recognize physicians that embrace the organization’s five shared values on a daily basis: collaboration, ownership, excellence, compassion and innovation. The award winner is also one who leads the health care team in delivering high quality, safe, personalized patient care.

“This award enables our nursing staff to recognize a physician who displays collaboration with our staff in the delivery of personalized, excellent care,” said Chilton Hospital Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Joanne Reich, DNPc, RN, MA, NEA-BC. Our physicians are essential to the delivery of quality care, every day.”

A nurse at Chilton’s “4 West” medical/surgical/oncology unit wrote the following words of praise about Dr. Audia on his nomination form: “Dr. Audia is always calm, composed and is kind to his patients and nurses. When a call is placed to his office, he always returns the call promptly and is never too rushed or makes you feel that you have to hurry due to impatience. He is always consistent and thorough.”

About Pat Audia, M.D.
Dr. Audia is board certified in Nephrology. He completed his fellowship in Nephrology in 2007, and residency in Internal Medicine in 2004 from Beth Israel Medical Center, where he served as chief resident from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Audia also earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2001, and his graduate degree in Biomedicine from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York.
