Depression affects more than 19 million Americans each year.

In honor of National Depression Screening Day, Chilton Neighbors for Better Health, a division of Chilton Hospital’s Community Outreach Department, offers “When It’s More Than Just The Blues” on Thursday, October 10, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Carnevale Center, 10 Lenox Avenue, Pompton Lakes, NJ.

The free event offers a panel presentation on the signs, symptoms and treatment options of depression in both adults and children, followed by a confidential depression screening for adults. New Bridge Services will provide information and screenings for adults, and Pathways Counseling Center will offer a presentation on the pediatric aspects of depression.

Most people will be affected by depression in their lives either directly or indirectly, through a friend or family member. If you are, or someone you know is coping with depression, call (973) 831-5367 to register for this event.
