Perioperative Nurse Week was held from November 11 to 15. Perioperative nurses at Chilton Hospital decided to celebrate it this year by holding a Thanksgiving food drive. Donations were delivered to a local food bank at the First Reformed Church in Pompton Plains, NJ. Employees from Chilton’s Surgical Services area were invited to donate, including Endoscopy, Operating Room, Pre-Admission Testing, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Same Day Surgery and Sterile Processing. Pictured are representatives from each of these areas with a sampling of the food donated. Perioperative nurses are a nursing specialty that works with patients who are having operative or other invasive procedures.
