Dr. Vadim Gritsus, weight loss surgeon at Chilton HospitalVadim Gritsus, M.D.
Vadim Gritsus, MD, is founder and director of the Bariatric Surgery program at Chilton Hospital.  A board certified physician and diplomate of the American College of Surgery, Dr. Gritsus has performed more than 1,000 advanced minimally invasive procedures, including bariatric surgery and innovative scarless surgery. He was the first surgeon to introduce laparoscopic gastric bypass and laparoscopic adjustable gastric band procedures at Chilton.

Dr. Gritsus received his medical degree from Pavlov Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia and completed his residency training in general and laparoscopic surgery at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/ Morristown Memorial Hospital. He advanced his training in minimally invasive weight loss procedures at Albert Einstein Medical College, New York.

Christopher Kollar, D.O.
Dr. Christopher Kollar, weight loss surgeon at Chilton HospitalDr. Kollar is a leader in the field of laparoscopic surgery with advanced training in laparoscopic techniques. Performing all types of bariatric, general and minimally invasive surgeries, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Kollar graduated from UMDNJ-NJSOM (University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey Society of Oncology Managers) with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine and was chief intern at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.  As a surgical resident, Dr. Kollar was involved with the start of laparoscopic techniques in the field of general surgery.

In addition to his role at Chilton, Dr. Kollar is the former director of Bariatrics at Pascack Valley and Jersey City Medical Center and served as director of the Emergency Room at Saddle Brook Hospital.

Franklyn Vasquez, M.D.
Dr. Vasquez is a board certified general and bariatric surgeon with advanced laparoscopic training. He obtained his medical degree at UMDNJ-Newark and completed his surgical training at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he trained under world-renowned bariatric surgeon Dr. Robert Brolin.

Dr. Vasquez is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, an active member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery and a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Specializing in laparoscopic gastric bypass and banding, he has performed over 900 bariatric operations and has been listed among America's top surgeons by the Consumers Research Council of America.
