When baby arrives, most new parents can hardly wait to introduce their precious newborn to family and friends. And they shouldn't have to!
Chilton Hospital welcomes visitors to the Mother Baby Center. Fathers and support partners can drop in any time, night or day, while others are invited to visit based on the hours set by our moms and dads. We don't have set visiting hours at Chilton, in fact, we are one of the only hospitals in the region to offer personalized visitation for our patients' comfort and convenience. This means we allow moms and dads to set visiting hours that work best for them, unless of course a medical reason prevents full access. With this in mind, we encourage you to contact the new parents before visiting to find out when they'd prefer to receive guests during their stay.
We also encourage you to consider the following before you visit:
- For baby's protection, all visitors are asked to thoroughly wash their hands before holding the newborn.
- Those who have a cold – or even the sniffles, coughing, sneezing or any other signs of illness – should avoid coming to the hospital.
- All guests will need to obtain a visitor's pass from the Front Desk, where a volunteer will direct them to the right place.
Can't visit? Send a gift! We have a wonderful selection of gifts for baby and parents in our gift gallery.
Or, guests can catch a glimpse of the new baby, with parent's permission, through our Web Nursery!
