| Planning a trip abroad? Then you may want your first stop to be Chilton's Travel Medicine program.
Business or pleasure, trips to many foreign countries require medical precautions, such as proper immunizations, prescriptions and preventive medications. A visit to Chilton Occupational Health located in the Chilton Health Network Building at 242 West Parkway, will make sure you and your companions travel safely - whether you need a Yellow Fever vaccination en route to Africa or up-to-date information on avoiding Malaria.
Our Travel Medicine program is licensed to provide the following immunizations:
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Hepatitis A, B, and B Immune Globulin
- Japanese Encephalitis
- Measles-Mumps-Rubella
- Meningococcal Meningitis
- Polio
- Rabies
- Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
- Pertussis
- Typhoid Fever
- Yellow Fever
We recommend scheduling your appointment one to four months prior to your travel date, which allows enough time for your body to build sufficient antibodies. However, even last-minute trips could benefit from a consultation, as we may be able to prescribe preventive medications and/or helpful medical advice. Please bring a complete list of your travel destinations along with your personal vaccination history.
To begin your journey with the Travel Medicine program, call Chilton Occupational Health at (973) 831-5116. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
